Where are some shops/ ways you recommend getting cosplays together? I really want to do cosplays for Adventure Time, Teen Titans, Avatar, which are things you seem to have already accomplished! Any tips? from Anonymous

Don’t think too hard! I like going to toy stores, craft shops, thrift stores, and hardware stores. Online etsy, amazon, and ebay. ebay is perfect for cheap high quality cosplay wigs. For make-up stuff, I like snazaroo and MAC. If you live in LA, there is a great store called Cinema Secrets that I highly recommend visiting.

For example, my staff for Codex was made from PVC pipe, craft sheet foam, pool noodle, spray paint, and stucco. I use spray paint all the time.

Try to make things simple. Don’t over work anything and don’t rush :)

Kitty Pryde costume progress :] I’m putting this all together very last minute for Comikaze. Currently sewing the yellow part of the costume with a pattern I made. Eeek! I hope it turns out alright :-p Thankfully I have some help from my dear friend Pat who helps me with all my costumes :D

I look really weird with my natural hair color D: I look like a kid… :(

I know you get so many questions, but I really fell in love with your raven cosplay and since I had been planning on being Raven for NYCC, I was hoping that I could get some tips on where I can purchase the items needed to make the costume or maybe how to make the belt and such? If you can that would be great! thank you so much :) You're beautiful by the way from Anonymous

Thank you :)

The cape was a Simplicity pattern that I altered just a bit. My hair dye was from Punky Color. The tights were from American Apparel. For the leotard I went to an amazing shop in Hollywood called Trashy Lingerie. The gems on the belt I made out of resin. The backs were fimo.

I got some messages about my Codex cosplay :D

This was my costume for Comic Con 2010 with my beautiful friend Caitlin :)

We met the cast of The Guild, Bryan Lee O’malley, Gabe and Tycho, and….JOSS WHEDON. Still not over that…I will never be over that…
